What pigments or dyes are used in the Lip Butter SPF 15 Tinted Balm?

We use both natural pigments and non-toxic food grade dyes. Well People is a cruelty-free brand and prefers food grade dyes over carmine (derived from beetles) to achieve the vibrant hues we all love.

Is this formula suitable for dry lips?

YES! The Lip Butter SPF 15 Tinted Balm is suitable for ALL lips! Jojoba Seed Oil helps condition and moisturize. Choose one of the 3 gorgeously sheer shades or simply choose clear to keep your family and friends hydrated.

Is SPF 15 enough sun protection for my lips?

Our lips don't have the capacity to produce as much melanin (which protects against the sun’s UV rays) as the rest of our skin, so it is highly recommended to protect them with at least an SPF 15. Reapply lip butter often.
